DALTON TOWNSHIP SPECIAL BOARD MEETING-JUNE 27, 2005
5:00 P.M.
BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Scott Hladki, Mary Ellen Sherwood, Rosemary Rinella, Kevin Wright, Elizabeth (Petsy) Jenkins and Diane Misze.
BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT: Mike Hiner.
OTHERS PRESENT: Dick Lappo and Terry Broemer of Johnson and Anderson, Inc. Consulting Engineers; John Warner of Muskegon County Department of Public Works; the owners of Hodges Hall on Whitehall Road; Stephanie Barrett, Dalton Township Zoning Administrator; and Greg Boughton, Fruitland Township Supervisor.
Supervisor, Scott Hladki, called the meeting to order at the Dalton Township Hall at 5:00 p.m. Notice of this Special Meeting was posted on Monday, June 20, 2005, pursuant to and in full compliance with the Open Meetings Act, Public Acts of the State of Michigan 1976, as Amended.
PROPOSED SEWER PROJECTS:
Terry Broemer of Johnson and Anderson Engineers (J & A) was present to explain the proposed sewer projects. He also explained a memo that was sent from J & A with cost estimates related to sanitary sewer extensions in Dalton Township. A resolution was provided and prepared by bond counsel related to financing the proposed projects, requesting the assistance of the Muskegon County D.P.W., names bond counsel, engineers, and financial consultant. The resolution also contains information related to reimbursement of the financing for the proposed sewer projects. Mr. Broemer provided a handout explaining the description of sanitary sewer projects and bonding necessary to finance the proposed projects which includes, Phase I - Whitehall Road Corridor; Phase II - River Road Sanitary Sewer; Phase III - Area North of River Road; and includes bond monies for the purchase of existing sanitary sewer assets from Muskegon Township within Dalton Township borders. Other discussion took place.
Motion by Diane, support by Kevin, PASSED to adopt the Resolution as written as related to bonding and appointing consultants in connection with the Project. Roll call vote. Yes: Diane, Kevin, Petsy, Rosemary, Mary Ellen and Scott. No: none.
Motion by Rosemary, support by Petsy, PASSED to direct Johnson and Anderson to start drawings for projects related to Phase I, Whitehall Road corridor. Roll call vote. Yes: Rosemary, Petsy, Diane, Kevin, Scott and Mary Ellen. No: none.
