BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Chris Hall, Mary Ellen Sherwood, Elizabeth (Petsy) Jenkins, Merle H. Hittle, James Lothschutz, and Ross McCloskey (Ross arrived at 6:14 p.m.).

 

BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT: Mike Hiner.

 

Supervisor, Chris Hall, called the meeting to order at the Dalton Township Hall. Chris explained that this special meeting was called so the board members and the planning commission members can meet the new township attorney. He stated that we are also here to discuss revisions to the township’s personnel policy with the attorney. Chris stated that the planning commission called a special meeting at 7:00 p.m. so we only have one hour with the attorney.

 

The attorney stated that he has reviewed the township’s personnel policy and he has brought a draft of some of the changes that he believes should be made in the revised policy. He stated that the township has had issues with some of the items that he has revised regarding vacation, pay plan, and benefits. The revisions were reviewed and additional changes made. Public comments were taken throughout the meeting from the public as well as from some planning commission members that were present. No board action was taken at this meeting. The attorney offered to come back on another day to assist with additional revisions.
