INTERVIEW OF ALAN STYLES:
Alan has 19 years of experience and is presently working for an Illinois community about the size of Dalton. The Fire Chief Code of Ethics is what he follows, will go or do anything he would expect his firefighters to do. Big in planning ahead, fire prevention, public relations, work with community and will support his team. He has inquired about being certified in Michigan, there is no reason he can’t be and he is OK with the salary offered. Alan has driven around the area and is pleased with what he sees.

Bill has 28 years of experience and is presently working for Garden City, MI. He manages a $2.6 million annual operating budget. He has many degrees for working in EMS, Fire Fighting, Aero Medical Communications Specialist, Disaster Team Leader, HEMS, Fire Inspector mention a few. He would like to finish raising his family in a smaller community and this area is what he is looking for. He is secure with his retirement plan from his present job and is willing to take a smaller salary. He would run calls, help train and will work with his firefighters and the community. He is all about team work and letting officers handle things when appropriate.
