Election Results: The Dalton Township Fire Equipment Millage Request passed! Tax payers will see the new millage on the Winter Tax Bill for 10 years, starting 2017.
Road Improvement Project: The Muskegon County Road Commission has notified residents regarding the upcoming work on River Road from Buys Road to Whitehall Road. Michigan Paving and Materials Company (231-733-1409) will be performing the work, per the MCRC, with work begining September 5, 2017 and an estimated completion date of November 3, 2017. May 2017 Updates
Road Work has begun!
- Riverwood Subdivision - work has begun.
- Lakeshore - Part skim coat and part chip seal.
- Putnam Road - Culvert Replacement and Road Restoration. Work starts May 30, 2017 and is planned to be completed on or before July 30, 2017. There will be a signed detour: Holton Rd. to Pillon Rd. to McMillan Rd. to Putnam Rd.

Village of Lakewood Club 50th Anniversary is in 2017. There will be a 5K Run/Walk held on July 1st, 2017 starting at Fox Lake. Information can be found here: www.villageoflakewoodclub.org/
Sports n' Shorts 2017 - Open to children ages 5-12. Program runs Monday, July 10th through Thursday, August 10th; Mondays through Thursdays from 9am to 12pm (5 weeks).
Certified staff will lead children in sports, arts and crafts, games, and special programs each day. Lunch will be offered to all registered participants each day the program is in session. This is a FREE program supported and paid for by your city, township or village. Space is LIMITED, please PRE-REGISTER starting June 1st, 2017 at www.wlace.com or call 231-766-3001.
Locations are: Buel Avenue Park, Montague Township park, Twin Lake County Park, Mullally Park (Laketon township), and the White Lake Community Center (Whitehall).

ATTENTION Riverwood and Riverdale Drives Residents: A contract is being signed between the Muskegon County Road Commission and Dalton Township. Work will be completed Summer of 2017. There will be NO Special Assessment to the residents. If you have any additional questions regarding the exact scope of the work or have questions regarding the cancellation of the Assessment, please contact Dalton Township Supervisor Tony Barnes at 231-332-6700.
The Annual Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 1:00 pm. Residents can attend this meeting and vote on Elected Official's Salaries in addition to other items on the agenda.
REMINDER: Political Signs and other yard signs: Dalton Township will be enforcing correct placement of signs, non-complying signs will be removed and left along the backside of the Township Hall building for the appropriate parties to collect; Signs may not be placed in the road right-of-way. Therefore, signs should be under or behind the power lines.
