Spring Updates (March-May 2018)

~Beegle Sports Park and Duff Field  Sport seasons are upon us.  Please remember if you would like to reserve the Baseball or Soccer Fields at Dalton Township's Beegle Sports Park (Tyler Road), please call Deputy Treasurer Jessica Kidder at (231) 332-6709 to reserve your date and times.  Additionally, while Duff Field is not owned by the Township, the Township does handle reservations and mow.  Currently there are a few openings remaining at the fields; slots are filling fast!  Pavillion use should also be reserved ahead of time through Dalton Township to ensure it will be available for your group.

~Sports n' Shorts 2018 Starts July 9th and runs through August 10th, Monday through Thursday from 9am to 12pm noon.  All offered locations are FREE and include lunch!  Pre-register starting June 1 at www.wlace.com or call 231-766-3001.

~North Lake Meeting A meeting with North Lake Residents and Professional Lake Management will be held on March 22, 2018 at 6:00pm regarding the renewal of a Lake Treatment Contract.  If you have any questions, please contact Supervisor Tony Barnes at 231-332-6700.

~New Business Checklist/Guidelines have been posted on the Zoning Department page.  Please reference this information prior to purchasing property or operating within our Township to ensure requirements are met and your business is allowed in that zoned area.

~Unpaid 2017 Taxes have been send delinquent to the Muskegon County Treasurer; payments are no longer accepted at Dalton Township for these taxes.  *Personal property business taxes remain payable at Dalton Township.

~March Board of Review will take place on March 14th and March 15th, by appointment only; an organizational meeting will occur on March 6, 2018.  The public notice with further information and details can be viewed here.

~2nd Annual 5K Run/Walk - Village of Lakewood Club.  Event will take place June 30, 2018.  Click here for more information and the registration form.

~Dalton Township's E-Newsletter:  Anyone who wishes to start receiving or continue receiving these emailed newsletters/updates, please send your name and email address to deptreas@daltontownship.org - Please specify you are requesting to be added to the e-news list.  Previously newsletters were monthly or quarterly; additional reminders may be sent out as needed (i.e. tax payments reminder in February, ect.)

Election Results: The Dalton Township Fire Equipment Millage Request passed!  Tax payers will see the new millage on the Winter Tax Bill for 10 years, starting 2017.

July 2017 Updates
